Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The provider issue created for intervention experiences a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources website to empower the servicing of all buyers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
